Motorized spindle system is the key functional part of the high speed CNC machine and it directly affect the accuracy and reliability of the whole machine.A dynamic model of motorized spindle system has been built By analyzing the motorized spindle structure.According to the model,the paper studies the mechanisms of motorized spindle common faults,such as unbalance,impact-rub,bearing failure,and support looseness,and offers the general methods and procedures for the fault diagnosis of high-grade motorized spindle system.In addition,a intelligent multi-information fusion condition monitoring and fault diagnosis platform of CNC motorized spindle system was built.Fault diagnosis was made in motorized spindle system with a eccentric disc.The study can greatly improve the level of machine tool production and serve as key technique for rotary machine such as NC machine and wind generating sets.
