Analysis of Technology's Contribution to a City's Competitiveness

Science and technology competitiveness? is an important component of a city s competitiveness system. On the basis of previous studies, the author established an evaluation model which can specifically measure the contribution of technology to a city's competitiveness. Based on actual data collected from eight cities of similar urban size and economic strength in the Yangtze River Delta, we studied the contribution of technology to a city's competitiveness. We analyzed science and technology indicators contributing to the competitiveness of the City of Hangzhou specifically, and formulated science and technology development strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Hangzhou.
