A broad trend in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry is the customers’ expectation that servicesrnwill continue to improve in terms of service/technology qualities (I.e., faster, easier to use, and more advanced servicernfeatures). To meet these challenging demands, many ICT companies seek to provide new service/technology to customersrnbased on innovations developed through research and development. Unfortunately, the customers’ willingness to adopt newrntechnologies is not always a given, even if new technologies offer high quality improvements. Given the investments thatrncarriers have had to make to roll out new generation mobile services and technologies, it is prudent to consider howrnexperiences with initial mobile Internet service/technology relate to adoption/retention intentions as well as other factors thatrnaffect a consumer’s new technology adoption decision. Therefore, the purposes of this study are ⅰ) to develop a theoreticalrnmodel for the mobile Internet technology adoption decision, ⅱ) to test the proposed model empirically, and finally ⅲ) tornprovide some insights for the mobile Internet service/technology provider community from a mobile user’s perspective.
