CryoSat-2 was successfully launched on April 8, 2010rnto map the cryosphere with an advanced microwavernaltimeter system. The mission goal is to observe thernfreeboard of sea ice and the topography of ice sheets forrna nominal period of 3 years. Precision orbitrndetermination of CryoSat-2 relies on DORIS Dopplerrntracking and ground based satellite laser ranging.rnDuring this talk we will show preliminary resultsrnobtained by precision orbit determination. We will focusrnon the comparison of independently computedrntrajectories to those provided by the CNES to ESA'srnCryoSat-2 project, and we will use independent datarnacquired from CryoSat's SIRAL radar altimeter overrnoceanic surfaces to assess orbit quality.
