THE NEW CHINESE DAYLIGHTING DESIGN STANDARD FOR BUILDINGS

Architectural daylighting design standard GB 50033 has been extensively revised, thernminimum daylight factor of the side daylighting has been replaced by the average daylightrnfactor; according to daylight climate data, the outdoor design illuminance value has beenrndetermined; the depth of daylighting zone and ratio of window to floor area (WFR) has beenrnspecified; the daylighting calculation methods have been simplified, and a new energy-savingrnchapter was added. The new standard will be more beneficial to take full advantage ofrndaylight, creating a good light environment and energy conservation.
