In this study, it is aimed to achieve optimumrnlighting solutions in industrial facilities inrnterms of energy efficiency, investment andrnoperating thus life cycle costs between thernmounting heights 6 and 12 m.rnIn order to achieve comparative andrnapplicable solutions, various types of lampsrnare used in industrial luminaires. Lightingrndesign calculations are done in a samplernproduction hall of 40 m x 16 m, for thernheights 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 m and for 100,rn200, 300 and 500 lx of illumination levels.rnThe efficient installations are determinedrnand total cost analyses for 10 years arernperformed. As a result, installations withrnmetal halide lamps with ceramic dischargerntube are found as the most efficientrninstallation but the least cost effectivernsolutions. The installations that satisfy bothrnenergy efficiency and cost effectivenessrncome out as the installations with tubularrnfluorescent lamps except the cases of highrnillumination levels. In those cases, colorrncorrected high pressure sodium lampsrnappear as the best solution.
