摘要

Cylindrical space frame which has a mechanic property, a functional property, a aesthetic property and so on, occupies one part of space structures and after this, the using parts will be extended. This structure has a many nodal points because it is made of network by combination of line elements. Therefore the structural behavior is very complicated and there can be a overall collapse of structure by buckling phenomenon if the external force reaches a limitation. This study is laid emphasis on the number of layer in the cylindrical space frame structure. The objective of this study is to compare and investigate behaviors and buckling characteristics of single-layer and the double-layer cylindrical space frame by rise-span ratios.
