摘要

In this paper,the experimental results of reinforced concrete cylindrical shells on rectangular plans by using model specimens are summarized, and the influence of shell forms,the failure mechanisms and ultimate loads are discussed. Furthermore, using one of the methods to obtain the ultimate strength by finding out both the upper and the lower bound loads, the experimental results are compared with the analytical solutions.
