The principal function of refractory in the industrial furnace with its special mechanical properties is used to maximum maintain the required basic structure of the process equipment by a certain structural form.The strain effect of refractory caused by high temperature and its change will lead to the stress changing in the structure, so there will be different results during evaluation oft he isolated and composite samples.The effects of continuous stress and its change on refractory show a kind of fatigue behavior.This will greatly influence the physical property and using effect of the refractory and even cause destruction.However, some refractories with high temperature elasticity could reduce or eliminate those destructive behavior.But the characteristic is hard to be discovered by conventional performance test.In this paper, the mechanical behavior of refractory with a ring structure which is commonly used in industrial furnace equipment will be discussed.The fatigue densification and the adaptability of refractory in the actual application process will be put forward.
