Research on Cold-standby Markov Repairable System with Neglected Failure Impact

According to the important role that ventilator systems plays in the coal mine safety management, we operated quantitative analysis on the coal mine ventilator system based on reliability theory. Usually, there exists a time delay when we try to switch one ventilator to another, during this delay the ventilation system would still be in the working state if the delay time is less then some critical value, which would also be seen that the impact of failure is neglected. A new model of a cold standby markov repairable system with neglected failure impact was established based on a practical situation of maintenance in coal mine ventilator systems. Then, we derived some reliability indexes under the new assumptions. Finally a numerical example was demonstrated, the results showed that this new model could offer great valuable reference to the practical production and safety management.
