In relation with the problem of space vehicles re-entryrninto the earth atmosphere, we have developed a nonlinearrnelectronic and vibrational specific time-dependentrnCollisional-Radiative (CR) model for air plasma workingrnbetween 100 Pa and atmospheric pressure and betweenrn2000 K and 20000 K for the translation temperatures.rn13 species are considered: N2, O2, NO, N, O, Ar, N+rn2 ,rnO+rn2 , NO+, N+, O+, Ar+ and electrons. This model takesrninto account a total of 335 different states separated inrnexcited electronic states and vibrational states of N2, O2rnand NO on their electronic ground state. Owing to therntemperature levels involved, many elementary processesrnare considered. The CR model is partially validated byrncomparison with experimental results under atmosphericrnpressure. Time scales to reach the final steady state arernderived. Two models of dissociation are tested with respectrnto the vibration-translation transfers. The excitationrnand vibrational temperature results are analyzed in arntypical Heaviside-like case at constant pressure and temperature.
