FLIGHT RESULTS OF USV-1 DROPPED TRANSONIC FLIGHT TESTS

The present paper describes the second mission of thernUSV program, named DTFT-2, carried out in Aprilrn2010 by the Flight Test Bed FTB-1 "Polluce". The mainrnexperimental objectives of the flight are described alongrnwith the major modifications implemented into thern"Polluce" unit, as lesson learned of the first flightrnmission DTFT_1, carried out in 2007. The on-boardrnexperiments and post-flight analysis, relied upon eitherrndirect measurements, through a number sensorsrndistributed all along the vehicle, and data obtained fromrnelaboration of inertial measurements. The resultsrnavailable from the post-flight analysis carried out so far,rnare presented and discussed as lesson learned.
