Developing a Meta-Inventory of Human Values

Human values are increasingly being used as a concept in arnwide range of fields including psychology, sociology,rnanthropology, science and technology studies, andrninformation science. However, the use of this conceptrnvaries widely in these different fields, and several differentrninstruments have been developed separately to measurernvalues. This paper reviews research to date on values in allrnof these fields to develop a definition of values, and thenrnreviews 12 value inventories to create a meta-inventory.
