A transcritical carbon dioxide compressor is developed and the performance is measured in the refrigeration system.The compressor is a semi-hermetic,single-stage,two-piston,reciprocating compressor with a cooling capacity of 30kW under the evaporating temperature of-10℃.The prototype had a stable operation in the transcritical CO2 system rig.The test results show that the refrigeration COP changes between 2.0 and 3.2 and show volumetric efficiencies between 0.70 and 0.86 and overall isentropic efficiencies between 0.58 and 0.62 when the pressure ratio varies between 2.3 and 3.5.The isentropic efficiency can achieve the maximum of 0.62 when the pressure ratio is 3.0.
