The This paper is about applications of shape memory alloy (SMA) to reducing low-voltage apparatus' contact resistance and temperature-rising.The practical examples of spring made of SMA for improving the performance of low-voltage apparatus are cited.Comparison of temperature rising tests were conducted on terminals of contactors (with and without SMA spring) at currents ranging of 225 A and 800 A.The experimental results are analyzed, to back the perspective that SMA springs and washers can be used to lower and stabilize the contact resistance and temperature rising.
