In this paper, a novel coding topology, SB-ZePoC, isrnshown to be favourable for use in class-D audio powerrnamplifiers. It enables the generation of binary pulselengthrnmodulated signals with separated baseband, thatrnfor the first time allow for an exact (free of distortion)rnreconstruction of the input signal by means of an analogrnlow-pass filter. The pulse-repetition rate of these signalsrncan be as low as the sampling rate of the digital inputrnsignal to be encoded. Implementation and measurementrnresults are discussed.
