A NEW MULTICOMPONENT PROCESS INFRARED SPECTROMETER

A. new multiple component process infrared spectrometer is introduced. The spectrometer measures sample absorbances at up to 10 programmable wavelengths, eliminating the need for multiple analyzers in tnulticomponent analyses. The system can be applied without using laboratory analyzers or changing optical filters. The application of the spectrometer to the measurement of phosgene (COCl_2), with compensation for water vapor interference, in the effluent of a caustic scrubber is described.
