THE CAPACITATED LOT SIZING PROBLEM WITH SETUP CARRY-OVER: A HEURISTIC PROCEDURE

This paper considers the capacitated lot sizing problem (CLSP) with setup carry-over. Setuprncarry-over means the continuation of a production run from one period to the next without an additionalrnsetup if the facility produces the same item both at the end of the current period and at the beginning ofrnnext period. This paper presents an efficient single forward pass procedure for this problem and providesrncomputational results to characterize its performance.
