It is very important to enhance core competence of company to realize parts resourcesrnsharing and reusing in a company and among companies, using techniques of Internet/Intranet,rnthrough efficient approaches to supply parts, and by integrating information of the wholernsupply-chain. Part library is a medium for resources sharing in a company and among companies.rnThis paper puts forth an architecture of the concentrated and distributed part library based onrnInternet/Intranet, describes Common Semantic Model of part library resources sharing, discusses howrnto fast and widely access parts information needed in designing and manufacturing products usingrnInternet/Intranet, and how to build an approach to supply and procure parts between users andrnproviders by part library.
