摘要

Existing travel-time models of carousel systems assume the average uniform velocity,rnignoring the operating characteristics of carousel body movement such as thernacceleration/deceleration(A/D) rate and the maximum velocity. Consequently, the optimal design andrnschedule based on the existing models is far from optimum from the practical point of view. Assuming arncontinuous approximation to the discrete rack face, this paper develops an analytical travel time modelrnintegrating the operating characteristics of carousel body movement.
