A quarter wavelength transmission line fed patch antenna with slots is designed, fabricated and examined for triple band applications. The proposed antenna has a very basic structure combining a microstrip patch, quaterwavelength transmission line and two c shaped slots.. The size of the antenna is 60mm × 50mm × 1.6mm. The proposed antenna resonates at three bands which is at frequencies 1.9GHz, 3.5 GHz and 4.3GHz with return losses of -20.78dB, -15.81dB, -13.44dB respectively. These frequencies are allocated for GSM, Wi-MAX and navigational applications. Different iteration steps while designing the proposed antenna has been discussed individually in this paper. The measured and simulated results have been compared and a good harmony has been obtained between them. High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) v.15.0. has been used for the designing and simulation of the proposed antenna.
