Research of LUCC in Hefei City Based on GIS and Markov Model

摘要

Research of land use/cover change (LUCC) in the main urban area of Hefei investigated in this paper using GIS and Markov.With the development of urbanization, increasingly changing lands were occupied for the construction purpose.Attention should be paid on the conservation of cropland in the development of Hefei city. The results are as following: the Build land hardly had any transition to other land use types while Cropland had been transformed into other land types between 1988 and 2008; population increasing rate and GDP are the main driving forces for the land LUCC in Hefei city; the Build land will be the main land use type while Cropland had been transformed into other land types in 2028.Effective measures should be taken in the land management including enhancing land use plan, establishment of the local land law and enhancing the public education.
