摘要

Water riser pipes are important protection equipments of deep-sea drilling systems. Vortex-induced vibration (VIV) is the main reason for fatigue failure and local buckling of riser pipes. Firstly, the numerical wave tank is established using CFD software. Then flow fields of riser pipes are analyzed. Moreover, VIV suppression effects of different spiral strip models are compared to choose optimal structural design, which would provide valuable advice for offshore engineering design.
