摘要

A fastener-style tubular steel formworksupport(FTSF) is often used for temporary support during the constrcution in China for its convenience and applicability. No framework for safety evaluation of FTSF exists, however, for use of the temporary structure during construction, which is one main cause of high collapse occurrence rate of FTSF in building construction in recent years. This paper focuses on the development of a multi-level and multi-attribute system of safety assessment on the basis of survey made for FTSF experts, which then determines the weightings of indexes through a purposed-designed questionnaire completed by 84 industry professionals in 10 construction projects in China. This proposed framework provides a useful decision support system for project managers in assessing the construction safety of FTSF for their projects.
