摘要

This paper describes how the information associated with the Quality Function Deployment method (QFD0 can be included in a product model based on design theory - the chromosome model. It is shown that the chromosome model can manage the data used in QFD if the definition of the requirements objects is modified and if the data of the process planning and operations planning houses is included in a life-phase process model of the manufacturing system. The most important benefit is the possibility to use the QFD matrices for interacting with a product model that is based on a formal, consistent design theory.
