Important information about interaction context is developed during the design process. In this article, we propose a formalism to encode and preserve this information during system implementation. We begin by proposing a definition of interaction context. We then present the "Contextor", a software concept that provides developers with a tool for modeling context. We show how contextors can be composed into layers of abstraction and how contextors fit within the Arch software architecture model.
