摘要

It is known that for the design of building pile foundation,there are several approaches available in technical codes for the determination of ultimate bearing capacity of a single pile.According to the properties of soils in the construction field and the pile types,various values of guarantee coefficients are considered in these approaches for the purpose of safety consideration.However,it is not always cost effective especially for large-scale civil infrastructures where a huge amount of piles is often employed.Moreover,due to the complicated geological condition in different area,the actual values of pile capacity may be also different from the ones obtained from the code.In this paper,the ultimate bearing capacities of piles of a super high-rise dual-tower building structure in Guiyang are investigated through field test.Due to the limitation of the practical situation,a stepwise test procedure is developed and carried out to obtain the pile capacity.The test results are meaningful to provide reference values for investigating mechanical behaviour of pile and statistical analysis of pile capacity in the typical karst geology of Guizhou province.
