Reliability of controlled offshore wind turbines is studied in the present paper.The numerical model for offshore wind turbines installed with RTMD is outlined.The physical stochastic models for wind and wave loadings are introduced.The probability density evolution method(PDEM)is then employed to evaluate the first-passage reliability of the offshore wind turbine systems with and without RTMD.The results are also compared with the Monte Carlo simulation,showing that the RTMD could improve the reliability of offshore wind turbines,but more studies should be done to optimize the parameters in order to further improve the control efficacy.
