摘要

The reserve of shale gas is huge in the southern part of China,where the complicated topographic and geologic conditions limited seismic field procedure,and data quality is low,result in the interpretation is difficult.These conditions limited the used of seismic in south China shale gas exploration.The electromagnetic method will be able to adapt to this situation.Wide-field electromagnetic method was applied for carbonaceous shale exploration in Hunan province.The carbonaceous shale shows as low resistivity because of its high carbon content.Our own developed ‘3-D gravity - magnetic - electromagnetic inversion – imaging - interpretation integration system’ was used.And we obtained underground resistivity characteristic,identification the electrical distribution pattern and characteristics of carbonaceous shale; enhance the research of unconventional oil and gas in Hunan Province.The results show that the wide-field electromagnetic method is the effective means of detection to obtain the distribution of carbonaceous shale; the work has guiding significance for shale gas exploration.
