摘要

An effective cooling water treatment improves the efficiency of the cogeneration power plant in the sugar industry. The effective cooling water treatment involves using of the right combination of corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors and biocides on continuous basis. This will keep the cooling water systems, pipe lines and condensers free from corrosion and scaling. But the main important aspect of cooling tower treatment involves control of limiting parameters through critically monitoring the various important characteristics. Without proper monitoring of the critical parameters the treatment programmes are not complete and may lead to severe corrosion; scaling and bio fouling in the system.
