We study near-field sound source localization, forrnwhich two-dimensional multiple signal classification (2DMUSIC)rnhas already been developed. However, thisrnmethod requires a lot of elapsed time because it processesrnin each frequency. A localization method based on crosspowerrnspectrum phase analysis (CSP) in the near fieldrnhas also been developed. However, its localization accuracyrnis degraded by noise sources and reverberations. Tornovercome these problems, we propose a new localizationrnmethod based on time delay and subspace methods. Experimentalrnresults of an evaluation experiment carried out inrna conference room demonstrate that the method improvesrnlocalization accuracy with less elapsed time in a diffusedrnnoise environment.
