DEMOSAICKING ALGORITHM WITH DIRECTIONAL CONTOUR INFORMATION

In this paper, we propose a new algorithm, which exploitsrnedge directional information for demosaicking. In order tornobtain the edge directional information, we haverndeveloped 5x5 size contour information filter. Thernproposed algorithm can be briefly explained as follows.rnThe initial estimation of the green channel is performedrnprior to blue and red channel interpolation. After thisrnprocess is completed, the estimated green channel isrnmodified according to the edge directional information.rnThis produces the final estimation of the green channel,rnwhich is later used for blue and red channel estimation.rnThe experimental results demonstrate that the proposedrncolor demosaicking technique outperforms severalrnexisting methods in both CPSNR and visual quality.
