Flicker Investigation on the Utility Primary Electrical Distribution Feeder

摘要

This case study represents the results of a voltage flicker investigation conducted on utility primary distribution feeders. The investigation was conducted to resolve a wide spread flicker problem that was experienced by numerous utility customers on their respective back bone feeders and beyond. The study scrutinizes the flicker emission performance of the customer cable manufacturing process and operation of the equipment. The operation of the cable manufacturing equipment was investigated and is also presented as to the methodology that was followed to eliminate the flicker problem.
