Rapid Pulse Charging and Battery Diagnostics on any Battery Chemistry Based on Dynamic Determination of Battery Parameters

摘要

This paper describes a new approach in the development of a Total Battery Management System (TBMS) with charging, diagnostic and prognostic subsystems. The latter includes a collection of data defined as a Matrix of Battery Parameters (MoP) that offers valuable information regarding battery State of Health (SoH), and an optimal charging algorithm that considers the intrinsic specifics of battery chemistry.
