Progress and Prospects for the Power Quality Industry

This paper provides a perspective on the progress of the power quality industry as measured by revenue growth over the ten-year period 1989-1999 and by stock value growth over the period 1987-1997. Industry growth is compared with growth rates on typical investments for perspective. Factors influencing future growth of the industry are noted. The life cycle of product innovation in the power quality market is discussed towards an overall picture of industry maturation. The prospects for the power quality industry are discussed in terms of forecast revenue growth for 1999-2003.
