Successful Completion CR-121 FGD Plant ·· for··2·600 MW Taishan Coal Fired Power Station in China

The installation of Chiyoda Thoroughbred-121 (CT-121) FGD Process thatrnChiyoda Corporation has licensed Ebara Corporation(both in Japan)hasrnsuccessfully completed for 2 ×600MW coal fired boiler at Taishan PowerrnStation in Guangdong Province, the south of China, for Guohua electricrnpower, the client.rnIn this project, Chiyoda Corporation undertake to perform the basicrnengineering package as a process licensor. Ebara and Bootes, the Chinesernsub-licensee, conducted the detailed engineering, procurement,rnconstruction and commissioning with Chiyoda being charge of thernconsultation and supervision.rnThe period from the contract award to handing over to the client was 24rnmonths for the 1st unit and 27 months for the 2nd unit. Final AcceptancernCertificate was received within 32 months as scheduled. This was thernshortest record achieved in China.rnAll the regulatory figures on the emission were satisfied in the performancerntest.rnThis paper intends to describe the outline of this project and the result ofrnthe performance test of the CT-121 FGD plant from the following aspects.rn-Excellent project execution among the Licensor, Licensee andrnSub-licensee.rn-High SO2 / particulate removal efficiency with low power consumption.rn-Satisfying all the regulatory figures on the emissionrnBoth of Chiyoda and Ebara are pleased with the contribution to thernChinese people and this success has improved the environment on the airrnand water in China..
