摘要

Fe-40at%Al + 50~80vol%WC powder mixtures consisting of Fe, Al and WC powders were consolidated via combustion synthesis using a pulse current sintering method in vacuum under a pressure of 50MPa. The obtained compacts are composed of FeAl and WC. Fine iron powder particles lead to a high degree of structural homogeneity and excellent mechanical properties (for example: FeAl-75vol%WC: HV10:1220; TRS: 1.84GPa).
