Micro metal injection molding (μ-MIM) is hoped to be one of manufacturing process for minute parts in various engineering fields. The size of μ-MIM products is usually smaller than the size of feedstock pellets. Thus, it is considered that the size of injection molding machine is important to produce the micro size specimen. In this study, micro size specimens were produced by using three types of injection machines; 1) General size injection machine, 2) Micro size injection machine, and 3) "1 pellet size" injection machine, with similar micro die cavities, and the effects of molding conditions on the properties of μ-MIM products were discussed. It was clarified that the micro size injection machine and 1 pellet size injection machine is suitable for fabricating μ-MIM products.
