摘要

Speckle noise is one of the most important problems when multidimensional SAR data processing is addressed.rnNevertheless, nowadays it is far for being considered solved. On the one hand, the effects over the useful signalrncomponent are still not clear. On the other hand, optimum multidimensional speckle noise reduction is still open and itrnrepresents an important challenge. This paper presents a first study in order to determine speckle noise effects over thernretrieved physical information in PolSAR data by means of the H/A/α decomposition. The work presented in the nextrnsections shall permit to determine under which conditions, in terms of the number of look, the retrieved physicalrninformation can be considered reliable. Theory is confirmed by means or real PolSAR data.
