Subsea developments have placed a requirement on the development of coating systems for production flowlines which will provide protection against corrosion, heat loss, instability, mehcnaical damage, etc., often in combination. These coating systems are required to be thermally efficient and able to operate in conditions in which they may be exposed to produced fluid temperatures in excess of 140 degree and/or to water depths in excess fo 1600m.
