The Numerical Nuclear Reactor is a collaborative US-ROK I-NERIrnproject to develop a comprehensive high fidelity reactor core modelingrncapability for detailed analysis of current and advanced reactor design.rnHigh fidelity models of thermal-hydraulics and neutronics have beenrnincorporated into the initial version of the integrated code.rnComputational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods, based on the STAR-CDrncommercial CFD code, are used for the thermal-hydraulic analysis,rnwhile neutronics calculations are being performed with the whole corerndiscrete integral transport code, DeCART. A robust coupling strategyrnfor integrated, high-fidelity thermal-hydrauliceutronic calculationsrnhas been developed. Examples of the coupled code analysis capabilityrnare provided for single pin, multi-pin and mini-core configurations, asrnwell as estimates of computational requirements for integrated wholerncore calculations.
