The location of the mixed state in a phase diagram of high temperature superconductors as well as the behavior of vortices play a key role for the understanding of superconductivity and its technological applications. This paper demonstrates that in addition to strictly magnetometric and calorimetric methods most often used for characterising high temperature superconductors, also the transport studies supply some valuable information. Precise measurements of the Nernst effect were performed in a broad temperature range for high pressure textured Bi2223 high temperature superconductors when a magnetic field up 4 T was applied along he c-axis and perpendicular to the temperature gradient direction. The experimental data were analysed in order to unveil the vortex lattice metlting processes.
