12.3mm ultra-thin AC/DC converter for LCD-TV

LCD-TV becomes more attractive less than 40 mm thickness, the power supply unit need to be reducedrnits thickness and to be higher its efficiency. We reviewed the system configuration and introducedrncurrent resonant converter as isolated DC/DC converter, unified multi-output into single 24V.rnTransformer is optimized its size, windings, and connections. Only 12.3 mm height AC/DC converterrnpower supply unit is developed and achieved 87% efficiency, from about 80% before. Output energyrndensity is 0.3 W/cm~3, 2.9 times larger than conventional, sufficiently functional in 35mm thin LCD-TVrnwithout fan.
