The Doe Run Company, in partnership with Engitec, has developed a proprietary new technologyrnexpected to revolutionize the lead industry. The breakthrough technology improves lead processingrnefficiency and dramatically reduces air, land and water releases. The process replaces lead smelting inrnhigh-temperature furnaces with a contained, wet chemical process that recovers up to 99 percent of the leadrncontained in mined concentrates.
