摘要

Abstract: The Michelson interferometer for passive atmospheric sounding (MIPAS) is one of the ESA-developed instruments for the First European Polar Platform, which is planned to be launched in 1998. MIPAS is a limb sounding Fourier spectrometer measuring the thermal emissions of the earth's atmosphere from the upper troposphere to the lower thermosphere (5 - 150 km) in the 4.15 - 14.6 $mu@m spectral range. This paper describes the optical modules of MIPAS where special care has been taken to reduce straylight and thermal self-emission. An important design driver for the material choice is the temperature difference between integration (at room temperature) and verification (at 170 K). Major design drivers for spectral and radiometric stability are the temperature variations over the orbit and the 4-year lifetime. !2
