In the paper, the supercontinuum generation in the normal dispersion shifted fiber is investigated using the single-pass and double-pass configurations. The spectral bandwidth of supercontinuum is enhanced from the 90nm with single pass configuration tol27nm using the double pass configuration. The enhanced broadening mechanism is mainly due to the collision interaction between counter- traveling pulses, as well as the doubled length of fiber.
