Application of Cathodic Protection Technology of Deep Well-Anode to the Anti-corrosion of Grounding Grid in the Substation

Grounding grid of the substation plays an important role in the safe and secure operation of power system. Based on the analysis of corrosion mechanism of the grounding grid and deep researchs of the existed protection measures, the cathodic protection technology of the deep well-anode is presented to the anto-corrosion project of the grounding grid in the substation. The detailed design processes of the deepwell anode cathodic protection are given in the paper. Compared with the other proctecion measure such as retrofitting the subtion grounding network with copoer grounding, the cathodic protecion measure has the advantage of high effects and low cost. It is feasible for the new bulid, re-bulid and the repair of the grounding grid in the substation.
