Gel pen has been the most popular writing instrument all over the world for its excellent writing performance in recent years. However, the composition of gel ink is complicated with specific rheological properties and high-stability requirements. Herein, a Nano-Ink for gel pen based on crystal nanocellulose (CNCs) grafting reactive dyes is reported. The obtained Nano-Ink exhibits perfect Theological properties and writing performance when the concentration of this ink is 5.96%. The writings of the new Nano-Ink can also be water-proof, oil-proof and anti-ethanol, because the dye was covalently attached to CNCs.
