摘要

Results from a research on treating explosive fabrication wastewaters containing TNT by ozonation are presented. Comparison of results at a constant pH of 11 and those obtained in a batch sequential chemical reactor (SCR) indicate that SCR permits to achieve better removal rates and more efficient ozone consumption. Carbonates elimination generated during mineralization of organic carbon during acidic stages in the SCR is the principal cause of improvement. Pseudo-first order model calibrated with data from the beginning of the experiments permits to adequatly predict later TOC content, making the process easily computer-controled. Nitrates generated during degradation confirms that oxidation of TNT is quite complete.
