Abstract: The films of polymer dispersed cholesteric liquid crystals with great hysteresis of volt-contrast characteristic are a perspective media to thermooptical information recording. Thermooptical effect in this case is due to writing light absorption in the films doped by the dichroic dye. Operation characteristics of recording process, the possibility to increase the speed and resolution of laser addressed information recording have been studied.!7
